Welcome!
We are a friendly, not-for-profit, meditation group based in Watford, Hertfordshire.  Our aim is to provide a local community for those interested in meditation, meeting in a comfortable atmosphere.

Activities

We hold a group, meeting on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month (whenever dates allow).  The group is an opportunity for those interested in meditation to come together to share some time meditating and then reflecting on issues that are meaningful in their lives.

The 2nd Friday evening starts with a short introduction on the month's chosen topic; this is then followed with a meditation - either guided or silent sitting.  We then have a tea break (cookies too!) before gathering into smaller groups for the discussion element.  The evening concludes with a shorter meditation.

The 4th Friday evening has a meditation (usually silent sitting); tea break; followed by an audio/dvd presentation on subjects that can help to deepen your practice and understanding of meditation.

About Us


The sessions are run by Claire Murphy. A very enthusiastic teacher, she brings a sense of humour and imagination to her teaching in order to make it accessible to everyone. 

Claire has trained extensively in both meditation and yoga and draws on this experience to bring an eclectic mix to the meditation evenings.  She is influenced strongly by Tibetan Buddhism with particular emphasis on the teachings of Mahamudra.
